Animation, film and set design

VFX became a way to explore what architecture could do through film. I became interested in the construction of worlds: miniature sets, painted environments and animated spaces, and the ways these techniques can be used to imagine places that do not yet exist.

For Wizard of the Moon, I designed and built the miniature set for the class film. The other works are independent explorations of architecture through animation and image-making, including Underneath Berlin, a painted section through the city, Labyrinth, a short animation, and a render of polluted water bringing the buildings of Spelhaugen to life.

I have continued working with animation since, including Wait for Me at Heaven’s Gate, a music video.
